According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, 9.6% of Americans were unemployed as of year-end 2010. That’s 14,825,000 people. What’s more, “nearly 11 percent of unemployed persons had been looking for work for about 2 years or more in the fourth quarter of 2010.” Faced with these staggering statistics, the single most important issue of this decade is “bounce back.” It’s imperative. The economy must continue to show signs of a rebound so confidence can return, demand can grow—and businesses on Main Street can recover and flourish.
